Like many you receive a slew of spam emails on a daily basis. For most this is a major headache and we immediately send them to the trash folder. What you may not know is these annoying spam emails can actually be a wealth of material! They not only will help you learn how to write headlines, they can also help you in writing better ads as well.

Pick a time each day to go through your spam emails. Open up your NotePad and then copy the subject line of the spam emails that stand out. The more subject lines you get, the more headlines you can create. What you will be doing is to rewrite those headlines to the ads you are going to post. Another great tip is to take a bunch of headlines and combine them into one. For example if one headline says; “ work at home” and another says “ free marketing system inside” what you can do is combine those into a new headline that reads as: “work at home with this free marketing system.” If you do this every day, before you know it you’re going to have hundreds of titles. Another great aspect of this is that it will teach you how to write headlines for ads and you will become a much better at it.

Write Headlines By Visiting Classified Sites

Another great way to get material when learning how to write headlines is to go free ad websites and look for the ads that really stand out to you. There are many ads that are written by experts. You would go through the same process as you did with the spam emails. Create a NotePad swipe file and add all of the titles that really enticed you. Now do the same as above. Mix and match and see what sticks. The most important thing to to know is that you do not want to steal others’ headlines completely. Do not pull someone’s headline from an ad and then use it as your content.

Outsourcing Is A Great Option

If you just can’t write headlines, another possibility is to hire someone to do it for you. An affordable solution would be to go to fivver.com and pay someone five dollars to write your headlines. Odesk is another place and you will find more professional there. Many times these are people who have a lot of experience doing this and it could be a good way for you to build up your list of headlines. You can also have a creative friend help you.
